Mako Lanselle is a Los Angeles-based artist, born in Japan.
After she moved to the United States, she had the opportunity to study diverse media and styles of art including: stained glass in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Santa Barbara, California; Japanese screen painting (under Master Shoko Ota) in Tokyo, Japan; and classic bookbinding at the Centre des Arts du Livre, Union des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, France; besides watercolor and oil painting.
She received her B.A. in Graphic Design at California State University, Northridge. Then, she started pursuing printmaking at that university and has since further explored printmaking and painting in courses taken locally.
She currently lives in Glendale, California.
